Proposal Selection Criteria
Based on the 2017 edTPA Southeastern Regional Conference presentations, this solicitation for proposal submissions has been developed to provide guidance for individuals preparing to submit proposals for consideration.

Target Audience:
- Novice
- Intermediate
- Advanced
Proposal Selection Criteria
Each proposal will be reviewed by a panel and given a score (scale of 1-4) on eight criteria. Committee members will score assigned proposals on each of the eight criteria, with the top scoring proposals in each topic area being accepted.
Rating scale 1-4
Level 1: Does not meet the criteria
Level 2: Superficially meets the criteria.
Level 3: Meets the criteria.
Level 4: Does an excellent job of meeting the criteria, going above expectations.
Below are the selection criteria:
- The proposal fosters the educative value of edTPA and effective implementation.
- The proposal reflects innovative, thoughtful practice/research; and/or it
reflects an issue that is important to effective practice/research. - The proposal has practical applications for participants to enhance
implementation. - The proposal closely aligns with the selected topic and is appropriate for the
selected audience. - The described content (practice and/or research) is fully developed.
The session content is based on evidence in research and/or practice.
Submission writing is clear, focused, concise, and lacks grammatical errors.
- The presentation allows opportunities for participants to be actively engaged
and involved.
Additional Consideration
Additional factors may also inform proposal selection, in addition to the above criteria, such as:
- Ensuring each conference topic has an appropriate number of sessions; and
- Having interstate, diverse representation throughout the agenda.
